Shared Statement of Identity

By LifeVista’s service of humility & enduring strength, we hope to bear witness to a Glorious Desired Landscape of Aging in Chinese Diaspora. 

 

Through our Shared Statement of Identity we 

 

- promote & respect Humanity Dignity 


- attend to the Whole Person


- care for the under-served, poor & vulnerable person by turning them into Protagonists thus confronting impossibility to finite possibilities


- promote the Common Good of Host Countries & to build capacities that showcase Chinese Communities as cohesive & conducive in the Diaspora 


- advocate leveling of fair-play on behalf of Justice.


- As Steward & we harness resources entrusted to LifeVista


- Act in Collaboration with globalization i.e. the practice of conducting business according to both local and global considerations.

 

Thus, 


- to encourage the Aged (thereafter known as Modern Agers) a longer working life & maintain the capacity to work through raising the retirement age. 

 

- to resolve issues in Ageism through legislation 

 

- Local Government to reward employers who build suitable workplaces & change perception of employing older workers;

 

- Life Counselling needed for older employees to make sense of before & after retirement;

 

- to prevent poverty among the elderly with a minimum income that is actually sustainable inter-generational.

 

- to promote active Aging in the arena of culture, leisure, health & wise spending in a society that is packed with consumerism.

 

- Inter-disciplinary collaboration for Study in Active Aging, Training of future Geriatric Healthcare Personnel for the dire need of Chinese Diaspora.

 

- Models of Care like Age in Place & Integrated Care require a combination of health & social services.

 

- Models of care supported by legislation [Legal Capacity, Guardianship Law, Parents Maintenance Act (Singapore) & Patients Rights] to be implemented to prevent Elderly Abuse & Ageism in Medical Care. 

 

- Inter-generational Solidarity & Bonding through cross Volunteering in Aging & Young arenas.

 

- Governments to give priority to Aging issues through big data analytics & AI 

 

Promoting participation, non-ageism & social inclusion of Modern Agers for e.g. Modern Agers retire at their own terms through Senior Internships to be made possible at 120 hours per month at a statutory minimum wage.
